Your First Look At ‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Duke’ #1 From Skybound

Skybound/Image Comics, and partners Hasbro, have given us a preview for the forthcoming G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Duke #1, Written and drawn by Wes Craig (Kaya, Deadly Class), with colours by Jason Wordie(Duke). And no, it isn’t an unlettered preview, but rather the fifth and final one-shot in Skybound’s Silent Missions month.
In the standalone silent issue from Craig, Duke treks through Cobra-infested terrain to find his target – a traitor who’s joined the enemy. Can Duke do the unthinkable to complete his mission?
Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound says of Craig:
“When the Silent Missions were conceived, Wes Craig was my first call. Not only is he one of the very best storytellers in comics, it turns out he’s a massive G.I. Joe fan! His Duke issue is a love letter to G.I. Joe, and a fitting finale to this exciting event.”

As well as the main cover by Craig & Wordie, there are variant covers by Jorge Fornés (Rorschach), a 1:10 incentive black and white version of Craig’s cover art, and a 1:25 incentive foil letter version of Fornés’ cover.
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Duke #1 is out on Wednesday April 30th from Skybound.
Skybound is also releasing a G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21, which includes a new letter from Larry Hama.
