Miles Morales Faces The New Ultimate Universe In New ‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion’ Covers

This June, Miles Morales takes the biggest leap in his superheroic career. He diving into the wild new Ultimate Marvel Universe in the universe’s first event- Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion.
For the last nearly eighteen months, the Jonathan Hickman led Ulitmate Marvel line has shown readers a vastly different take on the Marvel heroes we all know and love. In Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, Denis Camp, Cody Ziglar and Jonas Scharf bring one of Marvel’s greatest heroes to explore that new universe.
After the death of the original Ultimate Marvel Universe, Miles Morales found himself one of two refugees in the prime Marvel timeline. Several years later, the other survivor- the twisted Reed Richards known as the Maker- offered to bring Miles into his new universe. After he refused, the villain left him a key to the new universe… a key that Miles finds himself forced to use.
“This is an Ultimate Universe-wide story — and there might be a few life-changing revelations for both Miles and the Ultimates characters along the way!” Camp told ComicBook.com in an exclusive interview. “I don’t want to ruin anything, but readers are going to learn more about a number of Ultimate characters, and some of the Ultimates characters are going to learn new things about themselves.”
ComicBook.com also shared a first look at the issue, including pages that spotlight Miles’ first team-up—an action-packed battle against the Spot alongside Peter and Richard Parker!
Teasing this epic meeting of Spider-Men, Ziglar told ComicBook.com, “Miles is definitely coming into this interaction with more experience than is traditionally the case when he meets a Peter, and that’s part of the fun. Miles has some ‘big there, done that’ energy which rubs off on the new ultimate Spider-Men. In fact, I dare say it Miles might be a little too cocky for Peter’s taste but that’s also where some of the comedy lies!”
The story is the line’s first story drawing together all five Ultimate titles. It also sets up the most important moment in the line to date- the return of the Maker!
