Image Comics/Todd McFarlane Productions ‘Black Ritual: The Book of NYX’ #1 Gets A Second Printing

Image Comics/Todd McFarlane Productions has sent Black Ritual: The Book of NYX #1 back for a second printing, having sold out at the all-important distribution level. From writer Thomas Healy and artist Nat Jones, this second printing will feature all-new cover art by Spawn artist Jason Shawn Alexander.
Responding to the news, Healy stated:
“When I heard that Black Ritual: The Book of Nyx #1 was going to get a second print, my first thought was how awesome the Spawn Universe fans were. Getting to help create the corner of the Universe where magick and witchcraft thrive is a dream come true. And truth be told, this whole journey started due to Nat wanting to revisit the character of Nyx. We are just so grateful to the fans for supporting the book.”
Jones added:
“We are so thankful and beyond thrilled with the support and positive reactions that the first issue ofBlack Ritual: The Book of Nyxis receiving. Thomas Healy and I are putting a lot of love into this story, and to see it resonate with Spawn fans and readers new to the Spawn Universe is absolutely amazing. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store!”
As for the comic, here’s the plot summary:
“The haunting debut issue of Black Ritual dives deep into the untold history of Nyx—witch, warrior, and current Queen of Hell. Long shrouded in mystery, Nyx finally takes center stage in this seven-issue miniseries as she confronts the sins of her past and the dangers of her future.”
Black Ritual: The Book of NYX #1, second printing is out on Wednesday, May 14th.
