Gotta Catch, And Eat, ‘Em All! — Hershey’s And Pokémon Have A Delicious Collaboration
by Anton Kromoff
Welcome to the table,
Limited edition snacks, collaboration food, off-menu items, and seasonal selections are my favorite type of food that does not come from my own kitchen. I’m also a hardcore Pokémon fan. When these two spaces overlap, I get super excited. Hershey’s has my full attention right now with their recent Pokémon collaboration announcement.

Out of the gate, they have twelve unique Pokémon Hershey’s milk chocolate bar wrapper designs featuring the Kanto starters, fan favorites like Gengar and Mew, and inexplicably, but honestly perfectly picked Psyduck. Psyduck feels like a total fan choice. I like to think someone in the Hershey’s office was a Gen 1 player and had to see their favorite Pokémon on the candy wrapper.

In addition to the full-size Hershey’s bars, there are 18 unique Pokémon designs featured on the snack sized offerings. The renders of the packaging indicate there is a Vaporeon, Charazard, Venusaur, and Raichu. The candy itself is stamped with Pokémon themed designs as well.

The thing that has me truly stoked though is that the Hershey’s Kisses from this collection have 151 unique Pokémon designs on them! This means I now have to figure out how to “catch them all!”
It’s wild to me that I am so excited to try and track down all 151 unique Pokémon wrappers from these tiny candies but there is more than just a loose collection of delicious smelling wrappers that is driving me to want to set out on this Pokémon journey. Hershey’s is selecting random people who signed up on their site to receive a collectable folio to keep your Pokémon wrappers in!

I want one so bad, purely because my retirement plan, if we ever get to a world where I don’t have to work until I die, is just to hang out and play all the Pokémon games from start to finish. I love the idea of having this case just to collect all these wrappers in. It’s such a unique and charming way to go about hunting down and enjoying 3322-ish calories of Hershey’s Chocolate as I strive to be the very best!
I have yet to see these in shops but the promotions for these Pokémon themed candies have just started to expect updates as I learn more!
Until next time, see you in the tall grass!
