Skybound Entertainment’s Ghost Pepper from writer/artist Ludo Lullabi promises to be one of the most exciting series debuts of the summer. And now the publisher has revealed that the series will feature a fun new set of variant covers from industry superstar Kael Ngu.

From rising star creator/writer/artist/letterer Lullabi and colorist Adriano Lucas, the exciting new action series about forgotten heroes, cutthroat food trucks, and saving the world…again… arrives in comic book shops on July 16th, 2025. As part of the series’ first arc, superstar Ngu has created a series of variant covers featuring the series leads with their mugshots.

“When I was planning the variant cover program for Ludo Lullabi’s wonderful Ghost Pepper series, Kael Ngu was one of the first creators that came to mind,” noted executive editor Ben Abernathy. “I felt his dynamic and unique style would fit this world and its characters perfectly.”

In Ghost Pepper, humanity survived a monstrous near extinction-level threat, but the world isn’t better for everyone. Every day Loloi hits the open road to deliver her delicious cooking to the masses, outsmarting her treacherous competition and staying one leap ahead of the massive robots “protecting” them all. But then everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just be able to save the world…if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first.

Check out Ngu’s covers and a trailer for the series debut arc, and watch for Ghost Pepper in July from Skybound Entertainment/Image Comics.
