ICYMI: ‘Eyes Of Wakanda’ Sneak Peek Offers A Glimpse Of Marvel History

Disney+ recently uploaded a sneak peak to its YouTube page for Eyes of Wakanda, an animated series detailing some of the fictional nation’s dealings with the Marvel Cinematic Universe prior to its debut in Captain America: Civil War. Created by Todd Harris, the program is an anthology series offering a glimpse into the past of both Wakanda and the MCU. In each installment, a member of the Hatut Zaraze ventures out into the world to recover vibranium artifacts, leading them to times like the end of the Bronze Age in the West, the Golden Age of Piracy, and more.
And if the peek is anything to go by, it will look amazing. The series also represents the next leg in producer Ryan Coogler‘s expansion into the MCU with the Black Panther films, Ironheart, and this animated series — the first to actually take place within the mainline MCU. It remains to be seen, though, if Coogler will bring all his characters together for some sort of crescendo.
Eyes of Wakanda debuts in its entirety August 27th on Disney+.
