More Image Comics Sent Back For Further Print Runs After More Sell Outs

by Olly MacNamee

It’s a week where Image Comics have had a number of new comic books sell out at the distribution level. And, as America celebrates 4th July, Image celebrates the sell out of The Lucky Stars #3 from writer Charles Soule and artist Ryan Browne, and Lost Fantasy #2 by Curt Pires.

Talking of the continued success of The Lucky Stars, and the upcoming fourth issue, Soule states:

“Goddamn, it’s good to be back. The Lucky Devils #4 took a little longer to get to shelves than we wanted, but we basically had to battle back the forces of hell itself in order to make it happen. The battle’s won, we’re back on track, and I think this is our best issue yet. I’m also thrilled that interest remains strong enough that we’re still selling out and reprinting earlier issues in the series. Ryan and I are so proud of this book, and are so excited to show the readers where the story’s going to go. Hell, as they say, yeah.”

Browne added:

“I went through a sudden, and unexplainable health crisis at the end of issue three. I’m better now, and so damn pumped to be back into the world of Collar and Rake. Had one hell of a time making this one sing. Wait’ll you see what’s next and thank you THANK YOU for your patience as I healed and got back on track.”

Then there’s Lost Fantasy #2:

“In Lost Fantasy #2, a new hunter is dispatched to get to the bottom of the killings in Montana. Henry fights for his life. Why is it the ones we love that always hurt us the most?

There is a world of magic, myth, and monsters that exists beneath the surface of our own. Since first contact was made over 100 years ago, The Great Hunters have kept us safe from the creatures that lurk in the shadows. But last night something broke through, and it’s up to rookie monster hunter Henry Blackheart to stop it…”

The Lucky Devils #3, second printing and Lost Fantasy #2, second printing is out on Wednesday, July 30th from Image Comics.
