I had the opportunity to sit down with Sarah Davidson, author and illustrator of Papercutz’s chapter book graphic novel series Jackson’s Wilder Adventures.
Based on her nephew, the story follows Jackson and Irwin — Jackson’s imaginary Thylacine — as they deal with troublesome predicaments like moving and losing a tooth. Irwin helps Jackson figure out the ins and outs of life by taking him on adventures across various natural biomes where Jackson learns about all manner of animals, great and small.
Sara is a wildly talented, multifaceted creator, and having the opportunity to talk with her about Jackson’s Wilder Adventures and her other projects was the highlight of my week.
