SDCC 2025: The Exciting ‘Alien: Earth’ Activation And The Difference Of Night And Day

Alien: Earth is set to premiere August 12th on FX. To help promote the series, FX brought an offsite activation to San Diego Comic-Con 2025 (Hilton Bayfront lawn, 1 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101) providing two different experiences. The Wreckage and The Wreckage: Code Red might utilize the same space, but they couldn’t be more different.
The Wreckage is offered during the day and is the more laid back experience of the two. Leisurely walk and explore the wreckage site of the USCSS Maginot. Different portions of the ship have their own photo opportunities and you can see evidence of the Aliens littered throughout.
However, once the sun goes down, the urgency and excitement ramp up. The Wreckage: Code Red is a fully immersive activation with an entire cast of characters to interact with. The actors are quick witted with good improvisational skills to make the world seem real. Their own anxiety adds to the urgency. Guests travel in groups through the same wreckage site trying to survive the evening as a team.
The night time ambience serves the tone and mood well, and if you’re lucky enough to experience the Alien: Earth offsite during sunset, it provides some picturesque photo ops. Who knows? Before it’s all over, you might see a xenomorph and facehugger or two.

Saturday, July 26th:
- The Wreckage: 10am – 4pm
- The Wreckage: Code Red: 4:30pm – 10pm
Sunday, July 27th:
- The Wreckage: 11am – 3pm
