Skybound Announces The ‘G.I. Joe Hama Files Editions’ Reprinting Classic Marvel Comics

Skybound, Image Comics, and toy company Hasbro, have announced the Hama Files Editions, a new series of classic comic reprints celebrating the more iconic issues of the original G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Marvel run. And all including new insights from legendary G.I. Joe writer Larry Hama.
The first reprint will be one of the most celebrated issues in Joe history, G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #26 by writer and penciler Hama, inker Steve Leialoha, and colourist George Roussos. This is what the issue is all about:
“This unforgettable chapter reveals the explosive origin of one of pop culture’s most familiar characters: Snake-Eyes. First unveiled in this issue, the secret past of Snake-Eyes and his connection to Storm Shadow shook the foundations of the G.I. Joe universe. Widely regarded as one of the most demanded issues in the franchise’s history, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #26 stands as a definitive moment that resonates with both longtime fans and new readers alike. “

In addition to the main cover by Mike Zeck and Bob Wiacek, there will be yet-to-be revealed variant covers by current series artist Chris Mooneyham, as well as the foil version of Zeck and Wiacek’s classic cover.
