Skybound Previews ‘Good As Dead’ #1 By David And Maria Lapham And Dee Cunniffe

Skybound/Image Comics have shared a first look at Good as Dead #1, from Eisner Award-winning comics icons David Lapham and Maria Lapham (Stray Bullets), co-creators Chris Black (creator and showrunner, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters) and David Alpert.
“Set in the shadows of a seemingly quiet small town, Good as Deadis a simmering thriller packed with crime, justice, death, and long-buried secrets. The first issue of this haunting tale will debut in comic book shops on September 17, 2025.
The Emissary Bridge has always connected the citizens of Port Lindon to hope and opportunity. But when one man shockingly sets himself on fire, the bridge now brings something else to the town —certain death.
As the town’s lead lawman, Sheriff David Calhoun will need to stay one step ahead of the forces looking to take his town apart. If he has any chance of bringing the truth to light, he’ll need to expose generations of secrets while outrunning death itself.”
Eash issue of Good as Dead will be double-sized and written by David and Maria Lapham, with art and letters by David Lapham, and colors by Dee Cunniffe (Redneck).
Good as Dead #1 is out on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 from Skybound/Image Comics.
