Marvel’s Heroes Head To The Grid In October ‘Tron: Ares’ Covers

Long before the Walt Disney Company bought Marvel Comics and Star Wars, one of their most beloved action franchises was Tron. In October, the third installment of the franchise — Tron: Ares –– hits theaters, and Marvel is coming right along to celebrate.
In a new series of variant covers, Marvel’s greatest heroes will visit The Grid, the computerized setting of Tron. Captain America, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Jeff the Land Shark, Moon Knight and more will each get their own Grid-centered redesign from some of comics’ top artists.
The publisher revealed the first five last week, with more to be revealed soon.
Tron: Legacy made me a big fan of the franchise. While Ares doesn’t seem to be as visually interesting- since it appears to largely be based in the real world instead of the grid — it definitely recaptures a lot of that magic. And even better, the soundtrack from Nine Inch Nails looks to be awesome. I’m not usually the biggest fan of corporate synergy, but this is an exception for me.
