Simon Roy Goes Back To The Future With ‘A Star Called The Sun’ Collection From Image Comics

Cartoonist Simon Roy (Prophet, Griz Grobus), who has previously produced Habitat and Griz Grobus, returns to this shared sci-fi universe with a new collection, A Star Called the Sun, from Image Comics. Joining hom on this new trade paper back are colourists by Sergei Nazarov and Drew Shields.
Here’s a list of all the stories in this new collection:
“Hale-Bopp,” “The Oxpecker and the Elephant,” “Pride of the Central Republic,” “A Portrait of the Artist as Hive Parasite,” “The Ansible,” “The Anchoress,” and “Vanguard.”
Roys said of this new work:
“This collection is a love-letter, of sorts, to the pulp sci-fi novels I grew up reading and loving, as well as the authors I became obsessed with later in life. The short story itself, as a format, provides a punchy, concise way to dig into the stranger, more esoteric corners of science fiction without getting bogged down in all the mechanisms of a longer-form plot. Moreover, the process of making these brief comics tends to be carried a bit more by inspiration — which made all these stories an absolute pleasure to create!”
A Star Called the Sun trade paperback is out in comic book stores on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 and bookstores on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 from Image Comics.
