‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion’ Leaves A Mark On The Marvel Universe In October

Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion by Cody Ziglar, Deniz Camp and Jonas Scharf has already seen Miles Morales bounce through Earth-6160, trying to find his baby sister. On October 22nd, the event series comes to an end, with a promise of how it changes the Ultimate Marvel Universe. Over the weekend though, Marvel revealed that it will have a lasting effect on their prime universe, Earth 616 as well.
Exactly how will that happen? Spoilers ahead!
Well, throughout the course of the Ultimate Comics story, readers have seen the Origin Boxes pop up. These devices used by Ultimate Tony Stark have featured the catalysts for heroes’ transformations, after the Maker altered their timeline. For Peter Parker, it was the radioactive spider. For Luke Cage, it was the serum that enhanced his strength and gave him steel-hard skin. And so on.
Some heroes embraced that destiny. Others rejected it, causing others (like the new Ultimate Hawkeye) to rise in their place. Some rejections even caused new villains to take up the powers.
At the end of the Incursion event, released on October 22nnd, Miles Morales will return to Earth-616 with several Origin Boxes, compliments of Ultimate Tony Stark. The repercussions of that are seen immediately, starting with Miles Morales: Spider-Man #39, released the same day as the final issue of Incursion! The Origin Boxes will then cause chaos across the Marvel Universe for the next year, laying the groundwork for exciting storylines and sees the rise of all-new heroes and villains.
