Live On Kickstarter: Mummies, Vampires, And Cults In ‘Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #1-3’

by Brendan M. Allen

Mummy Detective. Vampire sidekick. Demonic cult. City on the brink of Hell. Bixby Grant’s case is heating up as Patrick Coyle launches Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #1-3 on Kickstarter. The campaign serves up 30 pages of supernatural noir spiked with pulpy, two-fisted detective action and a taste for trouble.

The clock is ticking in Harbor City: If there is a fifth ritual killing committed by the sinister cult started by Bix’s brother Max, a hellmouth will open and bring about Hell on Earth. To find the dagger needed for this killing, Bixby Grant interrogated the famous cat burglar, Kat St. Claire. But his blood ran hot, and he may have cost Kat her life!

With Diego the rockabilly vampire in tow, Bix is on the lam, shaking down mystics, and contacting the netherworld with the help of a nine-year-old witch. Things get a little too real for Bix as long-kept secrets about his personal life are revealed, and he and Diego are kidnapped…by the monstrous Council Macabre!

“I’m thrilled to throw Bixby and Diego into even deeper trouble in Fangs & Brimstone #3,” said Coyle. “This time, we peel back the bandages on Bix’s past, and what we find isn’t pretty. The stakes are higher, the danger’s sharper, and the supernatural politics are messier than ever. And yeah, I do know how they’ll get out of it, perk of being the writer. Working with Gonzalo Martínez, Arthur Hesli, Gonzalo Ruggieri, and Heather Antos is a blast; they bring grit, style, and just the right amount of weird to make Harbor City feel alive. Readers are in for one hell of a ride.”

Backer rewards kick in at the $1 level for five digital comics. At the $5 level, backers can get a digital copy of Fangs & Brimstone #3. Physical copies clock in at $15, with various alternate covers for $5 more. Enamel pins, sketches, and assorted bundles are available at higher pledge levels. Check out the campaign at this link
