Marvel And DC Comics Release Two Special Digital First Crossovers

by Tony Thornley

It’s already a big deal that DC Comics and Marvel Comics are crossing over for the first time in decades this year. Now, both publishers are making an unprecedented move by releasing two exclusive crossover stories on their digital comics platforms.

Batman/Deadpool, the second part of the publishers’ cross universe crossover, is out a week from today. But fans of cross universe chaos don’t have to wait for a week as Marvel and DC both have released exclusive surprise stories on Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe Infinite. Even better, they’re free to read with registration on both platforms for the first thirty days, and they’re just the beginning of a new wave of digital first crossovers.

On DCUI, Jeremy Adams and Adrián Gutiérrez unleash The Flash/Fantastic Four. In this fast paced adventure, Barry Allen and the Fantastic Four tear through the Speed Force, encountering heroes and villains across time in a bid to stop Gorilla Grodd’s quest for mental domination.

Then over on MU, Al Ewing and Jethro Morales strike with a Thor/SHAZAM! story. The might of Thor! The power of Shazam! Marvel and DC bring the thunder to Infinity Comics in a never-before-seen adventure! When a familiar face threatens to usurp the magic of the Marvel and DC universes, will Donald Blake and Billy Batson recover their powers in time to stop them?

To celebrate this new digital crossover initiative, DC and Marvel will offer each of their subscribers in the US an exclusive code for a 30-day free trial to each other’s subscription service, DC Universe Infinite and Marvel Unlimited. DCUI paid subscribers who are not current Marvel Unlimited subscribers will be offered a trial of the Marvel Unlimited Monthly Plan, and Marvel Unlimited paid subscribers who are not current DCUI subscribers will be offered a trial of the DCUI Ultra Monthly Plan. Current subscribers of either of the subscription services will be sent an email with their unique code. New subscribers need to sign up before December 17th, 2025 to receive their free trial code. Auto-renewal and other terms apply.
