ICYMI: A War’s Coming In ‘Fallout’ Season 2 Trailer

Get your Pip-Boys ready, Fallout returns next month!
To celebrate, Prime Video has released a trailer teasing some upcoming events as Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) make their way to New Vegas. Meanwhile, Maximus (Aaron Moten) prepares for a civil war. But based on the trailer, it also looks like another fun ride in the wasteland.
Okay, considering the underlying themes of Fallout, fun is a strange word to use. Nonetheless, there is something oddly joyous in the series’ concept of a post-apocalyptic US. Maybe it’s all the 1950s nostalgia? That’s certainly true in the games. Maybe it’s that lead cast, who really anchor the setting? Or maybe there’s just something to Fallout that makes a world that should be nothing but grimdark seriousness sparkle to life. No matter the real reason, we’re glad to make our way to New Vegas with Lucy.
Beside the fan-favorite setting, Season 2 will also feature the arrival of Kumail Nanjiani and Macaulay Culkin as new characters. It’s clear Nanjiani’s character will make his presence known among the Brotherhood of Steel, but it’s harder to guess where Culkin will appear and if he connects to Daisy. But we imagine she’ll meet everyone before she tracks down her father (Kyle MacLachlan), right?
Fallout returns December 17th with new episodes debuting weekly through February 4th, 2026 on Prime Video.
