‘Radiant Black’ #1 Gets A Special Black And White Reprint To Celebrate Its Fifth Anniversary

by Olly MacNamee

Radiant Black #1 by Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa is to be reprinted in black-and-white to celebrate the Massive-Verse’s fifth anniversary. This special issue will come with a cover by David Finch and include the script to issue #1 for the first time ever.

“Five years of Radiant Black — that’s a wild milestone to wrap my head around. This series has meant so much to me, and I’m immensely proud of what our team has built,” said Higgins. “Radiant Black and White #1 is a chance to revisit where it all began in a really intimate way, showcasing Marcelo’s stunning line art and the original script for issue one. I’m thrilled we get to present the comic in this format and celebrate how far the story — and our readers — have taken us.”

“In Radiant Black #1, readers meet Nathan Burnett, who just hit 30 — and rock bottom. Two dead-end jobs, crushing debt, and a one-way ticket back to his parents’ house to live. But when he stumbles upon the cosmic force known as the Radiant, everything changes. Imbued with unimaginable power, Nathan’s shot at redemption becomes a battle for survival — because the beings who forged the Radiant want it back… and nothing in the universe will stop them from reclaiming it.”

Radiant Black & White (one-shot) will be out on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 from Image Comics with the following covers:

  • Cover A by Finch
  • Cover B 1:20 pencils by Finch
