2025 Gift Guide For Gamers: Weta Workshop’s ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Helmets

Welcome to the table,
It’s one of my favorite times of the year! Those brilliant dark days of winter when the world gets a little quieter, the nights get a little longer, and I can lurk about my library like some holiday lich remembering all the fun TTRPG things I’m thankful have brought me comfort and joy over the dark days of this past year.
This is also an opportunity for me to call out some of the coolest stuff I have found for you, my dear readers, so you can possibly add these offerings to your gift lists, allowing you to serve as merry little elves and not fall into lockstep with the police state promoted by the fat old elven warlord who rules the gift giving season with a crimson fist.
Today, we are talking about the Warhammer 40,000 helmet replicas produced by those ring forging sword masters over at the Weta Workshop.
These helmet replicas are painted by hand, so there may be some variation, and are smaller than the images may suggest, sticking around the 2.32″ x 5″ x 2.67″ (W x H x D) range, but the detail and finish on these things, even from the renders you are going to see below, coupled with the quality I have come to expect from the fine folks at Weta, make these some seriously solid helmet replicas for those who are fans of the grim dark future.
Ultramarine
The Ultramarines offering is that of the Mk X Tacticus helmet worn by Intercessors and is a mainstay of the chapter’s fighting force. This is the kind of thing our man Titus would wear in his early days, and even though it does not have the iconic white and red stripes, this thing is seriously something I would love to see sitting on my shelf.
Dark Angels
The Dark Angels offering is cast in the iconic Dark Angels Green with the Sword of Secrets icon upon the brow. While I do not table Dark Angels, this thing is so rad, and I love the iconic Mk X Tacticus look, so seeing it painted well like Weta wants to do, really makes for a radical little helm.
Khorne Berzerker Helm
“Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne” is in full effect with this Khorne Berzerkers helmet. These Space Marines, corrupted by the forces of Chaso, are lost in the unending battle rage, and their armor is crafted in a way to honor the Blood God Khorne, the uncaring deity from whom they draw their power.
Space Wolves
We have talked a bit about the Space Wolves on Workshop Wednesdays, and this replica of their helm is a suitable emulation of the proud warriors of Fenris. The Space Wolves have some powerful personalities who tend not to wear their helmets, letting their sharp teeth, keen eyes, and manes of hair flow in the arctic winds of their deadly homeworld, but the Space Wolves Grey really comes through on these miniature helmets and makes this a great piece for your display shelf.
Striking Scorpion Helm
The Striking Scorpion Helm is, of course, one of the coolest of these offerings for me. I say “of course because my first Warhammer minis were Striking Scorpion minis purchased at what seemed to be a bit of a here one day, gone the next hobby shop when I was a little kid. All of these are super cool and have a limited run, so if you want to grab one for yourself or someone on your gift list, you should probably act sooner rather than later, or they may all be gone.
