ThunderHawks, ho? Or should the refrain be, “Tally-Cat”?
No matter what the call ends up being, Dynamite’s upcoming ThunderCats X SilverHawks crossover event between the two 1980s animated series is conjuring a lot of excitement among fans of the shows and Dynamite’s ongoing comics about each set of characters. But now, it all comes together via the upcoming ThunderHawks miniseries tied to the event. Written by Ed Brisson with Vincenzo Federici on art, it finds the Lost team trapped in the far future and desperately searching for a way home to prevent the cataclysmic war that could end all of ‘Cat-kind. To do so, though, “they’ll find themselves donning SilverHawks bionic suits and fighting in this unknown, hostile space and time.”
And now Dynamite has shared design work of those bionic suits.
The premiere issue also sees Neko strike out on her own “in an attempt to take down their enemies single-handed, [meanwhile] her teammates plan one final raid to secure the Thundrillium they need to fuel their journey through time. But unbeknownst to them, behind their enigmatic attackers looms an even greater threat — a force unlike anything they have ever faced before.”
The company also released a checklist for readers, collectors, and retailers to use as the crossover event unfolds. Check ’em out as they will be a handy guide to the overall story:
ThunderCats X SilverHawks: ThunderHawks #1 is due in shops on April 22nd.
