Anton’s Toy Box: Valentine’s Day With Funko POP!

Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays where I always want to do so much, but every time I do, I realize all I have really done is create a bunch of stuff that has to be cared for, cooked up, or thrown away.

Flowers are beautiful, but if you have pets who can’t control themselves around them, you end up having to hide them in places the pets can’t reach, or risk having a vet bill you were not expecting, or another broken vase that can’t be easily replaced because it was found in an antique mall on some random holiday. Specific example, I know.

Candy can be fun, but like most holiday-themed candy, it ends up coming in a novel package and can sometimes be very limited in flavor offerings. Also coming on the heels of January’s resolutions, candy may not be the best thing to float into a space where people may be fighting hard to resist the temptation of processed foods and sweet treats.

Trips involve time off, travel, and packing. Classes involve making time, and sometimes, when the world is on fire, even the most excited class taker is exhausted by weeks end, and a slew of other gifts are thoughtful and fun, but honestly end up feeling like tokens that will end up collecting dust on a shelf or tossed into a drawer.

Do not lose hope, though, dear reader. Your old pal, Anton, has some offerings from Funko that may fit right at home in your favorite collector’s collection and on this very love-filled gift-giving holiday.

First up from the Bitty Pop! collection are these cool little Bitty Pop! Bouquets featuring Spider-Man AKA Miles Morales & Ghost Spider AKA Spider Gwen AKA Gwendolyn “Gwen” Maxine Stacy, AKA, and probably my favorite of the long list, Gwanda.

Both Bitty Pop! figures are adorable, and I dig the heck out of the blending of their costume designs with the sunflowers, roses, and hearts.

Jack and Sally also get a cute little Bitty Pop! Bouquet with spooky-looking flowers and a great spiderweb wrap. Tiny Jack has a pink little suit, and Sally is holding a little heart. My horror and Disney fans are going to dig this one.

There is also a My Melody & Kuromi Bitty Pop! Bouquet that is downright adorable.

You can go big if you want to as well! There are fun bundles featuring these Bouquets that have Funko Pop! to go along with them.

Peter Parker, Spider-Man, and M.J. in a wedding dress come in the Spider-Man bundle, along with Miles Spider-Man and Ghost Spider Gwen. This is a fun little bundle, and the price point is not awful at all. All of these bundles feel pretty reasonable, and it’s cool they made them up on the site for people ot grab.

There is a cool Nightmare Before Christmas bundle with the patchwork Jack and Sally, along with the Bitty Pop! Bouquet.

I think my favorite of these bundles is the Bride of Chucky Valentine’s Bundle. It’s not because I particularly have strong emotional bonds to Chucky and Tiffany, but I have close friends who adore these characters and I don’t think there is enough in this space that puts them together in a way that seems both worrying and goofy. This captures the vibes of those two characters so well, and I really dig that. This is someone’s yum and will make a perfect present for those heartfelt holidays.

Until next time, Funko always feels like they make some really neat things for holidays, and that is why I end up focusing on them. I have been in this headspace where I don’t want to keep adding to a landfull or finding stuff that just sorta withers away, so if anything I have provided above can give you a jumping off point to get a little something your loved ones may actually want, I feel like I have done my job.
