Dynamite Plans ‘Lilo & Sitch 626’ Anthology Series Ahead Of 626 Day

by Erik Amaya

In Lilo & Stitch circles, June 26th in the US is a special day as it is 626 Day — the numbers corresponding to the experiment that created Stitch all those years ago.

And a head of 2026’s 626 Day, Dynamite will have the new Lilo & Stitch: 626 anthology series on the stands. The three-issue initial run sees release in May, June, and July. In the first issue, Daniel Kibblesmith and Elisa Pochetta tackle the secret origin of Cobra Bubbles … or at least what Lilo believes to be true of her case worker/government minder. In a second tale, George Kambadais focuses on the shark-like Captain Gantu as he tries to negotiate an Old West-like world and some criminals from his past who are more than thrilled to learn his stranded without aid or means of rescue.

The following issues gibe Nani, Jumba, Pleakley, David, Mertle and others the spotlight in stories from creators as varied as Moana McAdams, Chuck Brown, Jeff Parker, Edwin Galmon, Miriana Puglia, Emiliana Pinna, and Giulia Giacomino.

Lilo & Stitch: 626 lands in stores this May.
