Created by Kamome Shirahama, Witch Hat Atelier is a fantasy adventure series about a young girl named Coco who learns magic in secret after meeting a mysterious traveling magician. Fans of Kiki’s Delivery Service have sung the manga’s praises, so it was only a matter of time before we got an anime adaptation.
The biggest concern for manga readers was how Shirahama’s signature detailed art style would translate into an anime. While I’ve haven’t read the manga, I believe that studio BUG FILMS has done a great job at faithfully adapting the characters and world into the medium. So, if you’re new to this magical world, now is the time to come aboard.
