Marvel Reveals New Round Of David Nakayama Color Block Variant Covers

by Tony Thornley

David Nakayama has become one of the most distinctive cover artists in comics today. In April, the next wave of his “Color Block” variants debuts across Marvel titles and they just show how he’s gained his reputation.

In February, fans saw the first wave of the Color Block variants, highlighting the color Red. In April the series continues, with White, as Nakayama creates bold, eye-catching covers highlighting characters and costumes featuring eye-popping white costumes.

“With this new collection of covers, I’m thrilled to play again with a bold, strategically-limited palette and a wide variety of characters I’ve never drawn this way before (or at all in some cases!),” Nakayama shared when the program was first announced. “I hope you enjoy!”

The series will feature both regular and virgin variants on nine covers throughout April, each one featuring a bold depiction of one of Marvel’s superstars on a stark white background.
