Image Comics Announces The Roarsome News That ‘Tigress Island; #1 Is To Get A Second Printing
by Olly MacNamee
Tigress Island #1 by writer Patrick Kindlon and artist EPHK has sold out at the distributor level ahead of next Wednesday’s release. As such, it might be worth talking with your local comic book store to save a copy. Or, failing that, you can always grab the second printing when it comes out in April from Image Comics. If you take a look at the rather impressive art of the debut issue in the preview below, then maybe you can work out why it’s such a sell-out success even before it hits the shelves:

“On Tigress Island, a crew of washed-up starlets finds themselves snatched, shackled, and shipped to a jungle hellhole ruled by a vicious, velvet-gloved she-devil of a warden. The only shot at freedom? Band together, break their chains, and outrun betrayal.
This all-new story promises readers a sweat-soaked cocktail of action and attitude, dripping with danger, double-crosses, and explosive payback.”
Speaking of this remarkable success, Kindlon said:
“Sending a big thank you to readers and retailers for their support of Tigress Island. Issue #1 sales were great, so a second printing feels like icing on the cake. And there’s no such thing as too much icing, so feel free to push it to another reprint!”
EPHK added:
“We took a gamble thinking readers could be hungry for a book like Tigress Island and it’s been so good to see it’s true! Appreciate your support. We won’t let you down!”
Tigress Island #1 is out on Wednesday, the 11th of March, from Image Comics, with Tigress Island #1, second printing, out on Wednesday, the 1st of April.
