Marvel Comics Celebrates Twenty Years Since ‘Civil War’ With New Duel Variants

Twenty years ago, Marvel Comics asked “Whose side are you on?” as the mega-event Civil War shook the foundations of the Marvel Universe. This Mary, Marvel goes all in celebrating that momentous anniversary with new variants showing some of the heroic duels that tore apart the Marvel Universe.

Across ten new covers on Marvel’s flagship series, some of Marvel’s biggest names show their takes on the event. Some of them were there for it, like Mike McKone, Leinil Yu and Greg Land, while Rod Reis, Geoff Shaw, Ryan Stegman, Lucas Werneck, Dike Ruan, Aaron Kuder, and Ema Lupacchino show how the event inspired them.

The covers themselves feature the iconic Civil War trade dress. They will feature iconic fights like Captain America and Spider-Man, Hercules and Ragnarok, and Iron Man and Spider-Man, and new match-ups like Cyclops and Wonder Man, Storm and Ms. Marvel and Punisher and Tigra.
