Kickstarting Comics: ‘The Trash Pandas Vs A.I.’ One-Shot

Most people in the arts realise that A.I. is an enemy and not a friend. And now we get a comic book taking on A.I. with its tongue firmly set in cheek, as you will see if you decide to take a punt on this one. But, if you do, be quick as this campaign only runs for less than a fortnight.

Keith Hopewell is the creator behind After The Robot Apocalypse, a comic book series I’ve been following online as each issue is created and put up on Kickstarter. I first came across him as a very talented graffiti artist based in Bristol, UK. He now dedicates most of his time to producing creator-owned comics and taking them out on the road and to as many comic cons in the UK as he can.

Here’s the premise of this one-shot, featuring characters from his After The Robot Apocalypse comic book series:

“It’s not just for kids, this comic is a tongue-in-cheek humorous view at the A.I plague that has recently ambushed the creative world, that I have always loved and been a part of.

It’s designed for anyone who has been affected by/ lost work because of this A.I scourge, and for everyone who wants to read a silly story about a couple of Trash Pandas.”

And while it’s a short campaign, it’s still big on booty with a floppy copy going for £6, with original art pages available for those wanting to splash the cash.
