‘Dorohedoro’ Returns For Season 2 This April

by Tito W. James

Dorohedoro is about a lizard-headed amnesiac named Caiman who works with his friend Nikaido to recover his memories in a post-apocalyptic city ruled by sorcerers. The first season premiered way back during the 2020 pandemic. The series proved to be one of the most creative and unorthodox anime in recent years.

It stands out thanks to its creative world-building and endearingly insane characters. All of the characters are fully fleshed out and there are some surprisingly touching moments. The over-the-top gore is used for comedy as much as for the action. The program’s strength lies in its ability to move the emotional needle from horror, to comedy, to tragedy, and back again. I can’t wait to finally jump back into Dorohedoro‘s wonderfully weird world this April!
