Energon Universe Special 2026 Variant covers Revealed For The Retail Version

Every now and again, Skybound tease a new comic book with just cover reveals, and this morning, we have two for you to kickstart the morning. First up, we have covers for this year’s retail version of the Energon Universe Special 2026, which includes the introductory chapter for the upcoming new Energon Universe series M.A.S.K. by artists Pye Parr, Howard Porter & Romulo Fajardo Jr., Jason Howard, Conor Hughes, and Cedric Poulat and can be picked up for free on his year’s Free Comic Book Day title (Saturday, the 2nd of May, 2026).

Executive Editor Ben Abernathy spoke about these covers:

As for the comic itself, this special issue includes four all-new stories from the worlds of Transformers, G.I. Joe, Void Rivals and M.A.S.K. from writers Robert Kirkman, Joshua Williamson, and Dan Watters with art by Jason Howard, Tom Reilly, Conor Hughes, and Pye Parr.
