Celebrate May The 4th With New ‘Star Wars’ Black Series Wave

May 4th is an unofficial holiday to celebrate all things Star Wars. Collectors have more than the Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord wave to look forward to. Hasbro recently revealed a playful new wave of action figures, putting a fun spin on some of the iconic army units. The May The 4th Be With You wave is part of the Star Wars Black Series and is a special edition lineup. 

Each figure has a premium design, multiple points of articulation, and a humorous soft goods T-shirt. They also come with a blaster and a “target practice” poster. As you will see below, accuracy is not their strong point. These figures will be exclusive to select retailers. They retail for $27.99 and will be available this spring.

First there is the Star Wars The Black Series B1 Battle Droid May the 4th Be with You. It has a “Roger Roger Robotics” T-shirt with a target of Anakin Skywalker. The figure can be found exclusively at Target.

Next is the Star Wars The Black Series Scout Trooper May the 4th Be with You. It comes with an “Endor Biker Club” T-shirt with a target of the adorable Ewok, Wicket W. Warrick. This figure can be found at exclusively at Fan Channel retailers such as Gamestop, Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store.

Finally, we have the Star Wars The Black Series Stormtrooper May the 4th Be with You. Included is a “Pew! Pew! Pew! Squad Goals” T-shirt and a target of smuggler Han Solo. The figure will be a Walmart exclusive.

Official pre-order and release dates have yet to have been announced by Hasbro, but it’s safe to assume the release will likely be by the first week of May.
