Dynamite’s Compact Editions Continue With ‘Red Sonja She-Devil With A Sword’

Dynamite announced Monday that the next volume in its Compact Editions program will be Red Sonja She-Devil With a Sword Compact Edition Vol. 1. Sized at 5.5 by 8.5 inches, the format allows new readers to give the legendary adventurer a try via reprints of Red Sonja #0 and the She-Devil with a Sword’s first few Dynamite adventures.

It all begins with a story crafted by writer Michael Avon Oeming, artist Mel Rubi, and colorist Richard Isanove. All told, the first volume will clock in at over 200 pages for just $9.99. The company is encouraging retailers to stock up on the edition as it will serve as the best gateway to Red Sonja in the years ahead. Subsequent volumes will feature the work of Gail Simone, Amy Chu, Marguerite Bennet, Frank Cho, Mark Russell, and so many more.

Red Sonja She-Devil With a Sword Compact Edition Vol. 1 will arrive in comic book stores this July.
