New Spin-Off Series ‘Exquisite Corpses: Rascal Randy’ Expands On ‘The Exquisite Corpses’ Horrorverse

Writer Tyler Boss and artist Dylan Burnett are joining forces for a new five-issue miniseries spinning out of Exquisite Corpses and titled Exquisite Corpses: Rascal Randy. This series, from Image Comics and Tiny Onion, will reveal the origin of this iconic bunny mascot killer, with the first issue dropping this July.

“The sleepy little town of Aurora Springs, NY, has exactly one claim to fame: it’s the birthplace of Rascal Randy. Not the man in the suit—that man has never mattered. He was no one until he put the mascot head on for the first time… not until he felt the life leave someone’s body with his thickly furred gloves wrapped around them.

No, Aurora Springs is the birthplace of Rascal Randy the rabbit, who, once upon a time, was poised to become the greatest animated character this country had ever seen—until greed and tragedy changed his trajectory forever.

Witness the events before season one of Exquisite Corpses that made Rascal Randy New Jersey’s selection for America’s deadliest game. When chaos comes hopping into town, the secret sordid history of Rascal Randy will finally be revealed.”

Speaking about this new spinoff series, Boss stated:

“From the moment I saw the full cast of killers for Exquisite Corpses, I, like most discerning readers, knew Randy would be the winner of the first season’s game. Now while I still can’t say whether we’ve been proven correct or not, I can say the story Dylan and I have created for everyone’s favorite furry fiend is as sweet and cuddly as a porcupine.”

Burnett added:

“Bullies, homework, crushes, solving a string of brutal and bizarre murders perpetrated by a weirdo in a giant rabbit costume … Ah, to be young again.”

As well as this new series, expect to see several more spin-off titles over the coming months, with Exquisite Corpses: Fox Mask Killer, Exquisite Corpses: Lone Gunman, and an anthology one-shot, Exquisite Corpses: Book of the Dead. That and the tabletop game and film adaptation.
