Daniel Warren Johnson’s ‘Do A Powerbomb’ Gets The Black & White Treatment From Image Comics

Daniel Warren Johnson‘s Eisner Award-winning Do A Powerbomb will be presented in a black and white format to better showcase Johnsons’ art. The Do A Powerbomb Black and White edition will hit shelves as three separate issues, starting with the first issue coming this July from Image Comics. This first issue will also feature a lineup of variant covers by Johnson as well as one (Cover E) by J.B. Roe, Mike Spicer and Johnson.

Here’s what the full colour series was all about:

“In Do A Powerbomb, Lona Steelrose wants to be a pro-wrestler, but she’s living under the shadow of her mother, the best to ever do it. Everything changes when a wrestling obsessed necromancer asks her to join the grandest pro-wrestling tournament of all time, which is also the most dangerous!”

And here’s Johnson’s statement on this new announcement:

“Do A Powerbomb was the essence of a labor of love, and it all started with simple pen and ink. I’m proud to present this story in its very first iteration, in full black and white. What an honor to have this book back on the stands!”

Do a Powerbomb Black and White #1 will be out on Wednesday, 8th July 8 from Image Comics.
