Image Comics To Release ‘Casanova’ Compendium Edition

by Olly MacNamee

Writer Matt Fraction and artists Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá‘s Casanova is the next comic book series to get a compendium paperback from Image Comics, collecting the first three miniseries, Casanova: Luxuria #1-4, Casanova: Gula #1-4, and Casanova: Avaritia #1-4.

And here’s why it may be getting this compendium edition, as Eric Stephenson, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer at Image Comics, seems to be a big fan:

“When Matt Fraction first pitched this series to us way back in — heck, I guess it was 2004? — I thought it was just about the coolest thing ever and despite the passage of time and all the other comics that have come and gone since then, my opinion remains unchanged. Matt and the Twins knocked it out of the park with this series. If you haven’t discovered Casanova yet, I envy you — comics truly don’t get much better than this!”

And here’s the synopsis and preview for those unfamiliar with this fan-favourite comic book:

Casanova Quinn gets ripped out of spacetime, betrays everyone he ever loved, and destroys whole worlds in his wake. But it’s okay. Everything’s going to be okay. Casanova: destroying multiverses before destroying multiverses was cool.

Casanova Compendium trade paperback is out in comic book stores on Wednesday, 24th June and in book sellers on Tuesday, 21st July.
