Lawless 2026: Talking With Liam Sharp About ‘StarHenge Book 2: A Kiss For Atticus’

by Olly MacNamee

The great thing about Lawless, the unofficial 2000 AD comic con held each year in Bristol, is that is a small and intimate convention where everyone rubs shoulders with one another. Hence, when I was able to sit down with artist and writer Liam Sharp. It was in a rather crowded bar and sitting with us for this cozy and friendly chinwag was Mike Perkins, Sharp’s family, including his daughter and comic book creator, Matylda McCormack-Sharp and Ben Stone. All three of which have contributed covers for the first issue of his Arthurian/Sci-Fi saga, StarHenge Book 2: A Kiss for Atticus. It’s also the reason why there is so much background noise on this recording.

Still, it was easy enough to chat and so we got stuck into our interview, with the odd additions from Perkins, Stone, and McCormack-Sharp. Like I said, this is a friendly and intimate con, and I think this interview shows it. I think the beers helped, as well as a shot of Klegg Juice, which some fan over from the Netherlands had concocted. And it tasted marvellous! Maybe a bit too nice.
