‘VisionQuest’ Sets A Fall Release Date

Those wondering the fate of Vision (Paul Bettany) will soon know the truth.
During their annual Upfront presentation on Wednesday, Disney+ announced VisionQuest will debut October 14th. Continuing on from the events of WandaVision, it features the version of Vision sometimes referred to as “White Vision” integrating the memories of the android destroyed in Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, the nature of that integration includes Ultron (James Spader) in some fashion. It also somehow requires the presence Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) less advanced robots D.U.M.-E (Henry Lewis) and U (Jonathan Sayer) and the artificial intelligences F.R.I.D.A.Y (Orla Brady) and E.D.I.T.H (Emily Hampshire). Additionally, James D’Arcy will reprise his role as Jarvis from Agent Carter.
New castmembers include Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Lauren Morais as Lisa Molinar, and Todd Stashwick as Paladin — yes, Paladin. Diane Morgan will also appear, as will Mary McDonnell, and Faran Tahir as Raza, the Ten Rings operative who set Tony’s life as Iron Man in motion.
The eight-part series comes courtesy of Star Trek: Picard‘s Terry Matalas, although it was initially developed by WandaVision and Agatha All Along head writer Jac Schaeffer. She left the project to finish Agatha and then moved on to a long-term deal at another studio. Matalas, meanwhile, is a current fan-favorite after righting Picard‘s course and making it feel more like Star Trek: The Next Generation than earlier seasons of the Patrick Stewart Paramount+ series. We imagine he will also bring that flair to VisionQuest, using some of the concepts from WandaVision while getting to the core of the characters. Will it mean Vision might return in Avengers: Doomsday? Anything is possible.
VisionQuest debuts on Disney+ October 14th.
