Trailer Watch: Na Hong-Jin’s ‘Hope’

Directed by Na Hong-Jin (The Wailing), Hope pits the residents of a remote harbor town against mysterious bloodthirsty creatures. The appeal of this kind of film is knowing very little about the monster and then being surprised. Na Hong-Jin is a director who has clout amongst cutting-edge creatives. James Gunn praised his film The Yellow Sea and Tatsuki Fujimoto was inspired by Chaser to create Fire Punch. We’ll see if audiences and critics respond to Hope.
