Dracula Vs. Nazis In First Look At IDW Dark’s ‘Operation: Iron Coffin’ #1

Operation: Iron Coffin is a three-issue series featuring the (other) Prince of Darkness himself, Count Dracula, being thrown onto a train full of Nazis and superweapons during World War II. Quite the predicament and quite the makings of a bloodbath as well.

Written by Kenny Porter (Superman: Father of Tomorrow) and illustrated by Tyrell Cannon (Fantastic Four Fanfare), this first issue is a blockbusting 40 pages long and is out in July. Here’s the full synopsis and preview of the debut issue:

“During World War II, the Allies drop Dracula like a bomb on a heavily guarded Nazi train full of superweapons and technology which could change the outcome of the war if it reaches its destination. What follows can best be described by CBR’s Brian Cronin: “a stunning thrill ride that is as surprisingly heartfelt and thoughtful as it is harrowing and violent.”
