Skybound And Act 4 Publishing Announce ‘Beta Ray Bill By Daniel Warren Johnson Artist’s Edition’

Skybound and Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing have announced Beta Ray Bill by Daniel Warren Johnson Artist’s Edition. Quite the departure, given they usually publish classic comics from the Bronze Age of comics. But who’s complaining? Warren Johnson is a highly popular artist, and there’s no doubting his inimitable style.
This 12”x17” hardback collects the complete Beta Ray Bill (2021) miniseries written and illustrated by Warren Johnson, as well as an introduction from Thor writer/artist and the creator of Beta Ray Bill, Walter Simonson. And all produced from colour scans of the original art pages, to better capture the ink gradients, blue pencil and other nuances.
Commenting of the announcement, Daniel Warren Johnson states:
“I’ll never forget the first artist edition I bought: Jack Kirby’s New Gods. It’s still in my studio, treasured, inspiring me to this day. It’s an honor to have Scott Dunbier give my story the same treatment.”

Beta Ray Bill by Daniel Warren Johnson Artist’s Edition is out in comic stores on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2027, and at booksellers on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2027.
