‘Ben 10’ #5 Makes Way For Steven T. Seagle And Grey Matter

by Erik Amaya

Ben 10 #5 is making some introductions.

As Dynamite revealed on Thursday, co-creator Steven T. Seagle takes over writing duties from Joe Casey while Robert Carey continues on art. The issue also sees the debut of Grey Matter. In the original animated series, he was a form Ben could take to get around small spaces. He could also be called upon to use his sharp intelligence or to gain a better understanding of the Omnimatrix. How he’ll be deployed in the new continuity is anyone’s guess and part of the fun.

Meanwhile, Zombozo’s is still on a mission to “spread his brainwashed circus across the entire nation.” And as Ben faces “a strategy he doesn’t want to believe is true,” Grandpa Max’s life on the line. Will he be able to make a choice in time to save everyone?

The issue features covers from Carey, Duncan Rouleau, Dustin Nguyen, Sebastian Piriz, and Eric Canete. Mystery blind bags will also be available with a random assortment of exclusive variant covers.

Ben 10 #5 debuts September 2nd.
