An Argentine artist, Giménez’s art is just this hyper-detailed, super-technical thing, but it’s also incredibly organic, absolutely beautiful. He worked on so many great strips through his life, at so many different Euro magazines and comics. But if you know his name, and so many don’t, you may well have first seen his work, as I did, on Metabarons, published by Humanoids, and written by Alejandro Jodorowsky, taking the characters and concepts developed in Jodorowsky’s and Moebius‘s The Incal and just going with it, with Giménez’ art just epanding the vision that Jodorowsky’s and Moebius first brought to comics.
