Liam Sharp, Dan DiDio, Mike Perkins And More Sign At Forbidden Planet Derby

When this writer began covering comics, it was with the sole purpose of shining a spotlight on comic book events outside of London. And this all-star signing at Derby’s Forbidden Planet is a great example. Not only is it the home of writer and artist Liam Sharp (Wonder Woman, StarHenge), but thanks to his titanic efforts, it’ll also be the home for Dan Didio, Mike Perkins (Batman: First Knight, The Raven Conspiracy), Barry Kitson (JLA: Year One, 2000 AD, Empire) as well as Sharp’s daughter, Matylda McCormack-Sharp, and tatooist Ben Stone, all of whom have contributed covers to Sharp’s new series, StarHenge: A Kiss for Atticus from Image Comics.
Happening on Sunday, August 23rd at Derby’s very own Forbidden Planet at 28 St. Peters Street, DE1 1SL, Derby, United Kingdom, from 3 pm till 5 pm, the party doesn’t stop there. In fact, if you wander down to the local boozer, Five Lamps Tavern, you can tuck into some fine drinking and great pizza too and make a day of it, and evening of it as well.
With Birmingham just down the road, I’ve already booked my train ticket, so I don’t have to drive. I do not want to miss this one. Hopefully, I’ll see some of you there.
