Cyberpunk Series ‘Assassins’ Guild’ Gets A Hardcover Collection From Image Comics

by Olly MacNamee

The cyberpunk series Assassins’ Guild by writer Randy Taylor and artist Dustin Weaver is to be collected in a new hardcover edition from Image Comics next year. It collects issues #0-4 of the action-packed series.

“America is run by corporations and, in Assassins’ Guild’s future-set story, violence and corruption are business as usual … with the exception of one highly trained rogue operative who could bring it all down! When tactical officer Alex Dayne suddenly grows a conscience, the Valentine Corporation sets out to destroy him. Bent on revenge and with nothing left to lose, Alex goes back into the underworld of New Washington and gathers a team of outcasts to wage war on the corporate machine and assassinate its CEO.”

Assassins’ Guild was Weaver’s introduction to the comic book industry before he moved on to work with Jonathan Hickman on Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers. Weaver quickly worked on high-profile series such as Edge of the Spider-Verse and Infinity Gauntlet (2015) as well as IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Speaking about this series Weaver states:

Assassins’ Guild is what caught the attention of publishers and helped launch my career. I’m thrilled to finally see it in this complete collection, looking better than ever, and on the shelves for a new generation of comics readers to discover.”

The Assassins’ Guild hardcover is out in comic book stores on Wednesday, 20th January, 2027 and in booksellers on Wednesday, 16th February, 2027.
