Robin Williams Classics ‘Dead Poets Society’ And ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Headed To 4K UHD

Movie fans are getting a double dose of classic Robin Williams next month. Dead Poets Society and Mrs. Doubtfire are both making their 4K digital and 4K UHD debuts, courtesy of 20th Century Studios.
First, 1989’s tear-jerking dramedy Dead Poets Society, directed by Peter Weir, finds Williams as a beloved English teacher at a stuffy private school, where his comic shenanigans, impressions, and heartfelt leadership inspire a classroom full of eager young minds including Ethan Hawke, Josh Charles, and Robert Sean Leonard. Williams was nominated for an acting Oscar, alongside Best Picture and Best Director.
1993’s Mrs. Doubtfire, directed by Chris Columbus, allows Williams to indulge in his manic comedy stylings even further as an estranged father who dresses up like an English housekeeper in order to get closer to his children. Sally Field, Harvey Fierstein, and Pierce Brosnan co-star. Bonus features for both films are TBA.
Dead Poets Society and Mrs. Doubtfire will be available in 4K on disc and digital platforms for the first time on September 29th. Carpe diem!
