A Father’s Quest For Revenge — ‘The Mafia Vs. The Klan’ Live Now On Kickstarter

C.E. Massari has announced the release of his original graphic novel The Mafia Vs. The Klan. The project is live on Kickstarter as a premier title in Source Point Press’ relaunch, before a worldwide release via SPP’s distribution channels. The campaign is just over a hundred dollars shy of its funding goal as of this writing.
Inspired by real-life events experienced by Massari’s grandfather, the 120-page original graphic novel is described as “John Wick meets The Godfather.” It tells a gritty, high-stakes story of justice and vengeance that resonates with historical weight and cinematic intensity.
The Mafia Vs. The Klan is a 120-page OGN set during the height of the 1920s Prohibition Era, when an Italian immigrant’s quest for a peaceful life is shattered when a botched KKK assassination claims his daughter instead of him. With the law complicit in the crime, Mario must strike a devil’s bargain with the Mafia to wage a bloody war of vengeance.
This project is a fictional retelling rooted in the real-life events of the author’s grandfather’s experience with the Klan in Virginia in the 1960s and the murder of his sister, Augustina Massari.
Backer rewards kick in at the $15 level for a digital copy of the book. Physical copies are available at the $29 level. Various bundles at higher levels and optional add-ons include other books from Massari’s catalogue, a crucifix, art commissions, script critique, and more.
