NYCC 2026: ‘Ben 10’ #8 To Feature Wildvine And A Surprise Villain

Ben 10 continues to expand further into the mythos.

While October sees the release of the Ben 10 Creator Files special issue, the mainline series is plotting out its further reaches. In advance of New York Comic Con, Dynamite announced the eighth issue of the series will see the full debut of Wildvine and a surprise antagonist.

Writer Joe Casey and series artist Robert Carey usher Wildvine into the new continuity. Per the company, “the classic one-eyed plant-based alien has long been a favorite for many fans. Eagle-eyed readers may recall an earlier dream sequence cameo, but here in this epic eighth issue will be the full debut.”

Meanwhile, a “classic villain” will also enter the modern day telling of Ben 10. The character’s identity will be shrouded for now, although we imagine they will appear on one or more of the variant covers — from Dustin Nguyen, Sebastian Piriz, Eric Canete, and Duncan Rouleau — as Dynamite is keeping them under wraps as well.

“In each issue of Ben 10 so far, we’ve made sure to provide readers with the thrill of the new,” Casey said in a statement. “In issue #8, it’s finally time for Wildvine to take center stage for his in-story debut. Not to mention, the first appearance of an iconic villain will provide essential clues to the larger Ben 10 saga that we’re still just beginning to unleash. And while there’s no way readers will be able to predict what’s coming next — we guarantee it’s gonna be a crazy ride!”

Ben 10 #8 is due out in January.
