‘Marvel Contest Of Champions’ Holds Annual Summoner’s Choice Fan Vote
by Gary Catig
The start of October brings another new update to Marvel Contest of Champions. Players can expect exciting content added to the mobile game, such as additional characters and events. However, it is also the time of year to participate in the annual Summoner’s Choice fan vote, where you can decide the Contest’s next entrant.
Speaking of the Summoner’s Choice fan vote, last year’s winner, Colossus (Age of Apocalypse), finally arrives in the game. Joining him this month is Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes). Colossus can be obtained starting 15th October while Robbie becomes available beginning 29th October.
The latest Event Quest “Closer to the Edge” runs from October 7th to November 4th. After having disappeared for months, both Doctor Strange and Spider-Man 2099 return to warn the Summoner that the Battlerealm is being torn apart. A call for help results in new additions, Colossus (Age of Apocalypse) and Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), getting caught up in the chaos. Hopefully their appearance can help restore the world.
As mentioned previously, Marvel Contest of Champions brings back the Summoner’s Choice fan vote for its seventh installment. This year, the Champion will come from the Spider-Verse. The candidates include Doppelgänger, Spider-Man, Araña, Webslinger, Cyborg Spider-Man, Rek-Rap, Spider-Byte, and Spider-Ma’am.
There are three rounds of voting. Round 1 runs from October 9th-12th, Round 2 runs from October 16th-19th, and Round 3 runs from October 23rd-26th. Details for the first round of voting can be found below:
- Each round will kick off with a Message announcing the Champions up for the vote. Round 1 begins with 8 Champions.
- Completing the Solo Objectives and claiming free daily Webstore Bundles grants players a Summoner’s Choice Voting Selector.
- Solo Objectives are in a chained set of 3x – Win 5x Fights in any game mode! When the next round starts, players will be prompted with top 4 winners alongside another round of Solo Objectives and Webstore Bundles with updated Voting Selectors.
- Summoner’s Choice Voting Selectors allow players to cast 5x votes towards any of the 8 Champions.
- Players can claim 3x Voting Selectors from Solo Objectives and 3x by claiming webstore bundles in each Round. *Webstore bundles contain: 1x Voting Selector + 1x 2-Star Champion Past Winners.

The month’s New Player Bundle Giveaway is entitled the “Graveyard Shift.” Very fitting since Halloween is almost here. It includes Kushala, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Wiccan, Hulk Immortal, Abomination Immortal, Black Widow (Claire Voyant), Mister Sinister, Morningstar, Venompool, and Scream.
Other features to look out for include:
- Epilogue Part 4: Last Struggle [October 14th]: The Quest to reconstruct a 7-Star Carina Tivan and banish the last shadows of the Chronoserpent reaches its climax! Face down inevitable Doom and the Chronoserpent itself to add Carina to your ranks! Bring her for a final battle as you claim all the power you’ve earned.
- Side Quest – Symbiote Generals [October 14th – November 4th]: Your best buddy in the whole Battlerealm, the Summoned symbiote, is back, and players will be running the lil guy through a whole gauntlet of gruesome do-badders. Completing Paths will give the Summoned Symbiote exclusive temporary buffs so that they can take down some of Knull’s Generals who are threatening the Battlerealm. The more fights you can complete, the stronger he can get. Keep fighting until the mild-mannered Summoned Symbiote is strong enough to take down Knull himself!
- 2026 Ultimate Doom Sweepstakes continues [September 16th at 5pm PT – December 9th at 5pm PT]: Fans and players can enter the 2026 Ultimate Doom Sweepstakes for a chance to win a Grand Prize of a trip for two to Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday world premiere in Los Angeles.
