Act 4 Announces ‘Marvel Heroes By Gene Colan Artist’s Edition’
by Olly MacNamee
Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing and Skybound have announced Marvel Heroes by Gene Colan Artist’s Edition. Like all the previous Artist’s Editions, this one is an oversized presentation (12”x17” format) of select work by Colan whilst at Marvel Comics, including three complete stories — Captain America #137, Daredevil #63, and Tales of Suspense #97 — as well as other strips he worked on with the likes of Stan Lee, Gerry Conway, and Roy Thomas. As an added bonus, there will be two foldouts presenting four classic “twice-up” oversized covers by Colan. Other works included feature Doctor Strange, Howard the Duck, Captain America, and Daredevil.
And here’s Dunbier on why the spotlight is now shining on Colan, again, having featured in a previous volume focused exclusively on Tomb of Dracula:
“Gene Colan was one of the core Marvel artists for decades. His unique and often stunning storytelling abilities made him a fan-favorite on some of their most iconic characters. This book has some truly incredible work in it.”
Marvel Heroes by Gene Colan Artist’s Edition (SRP $150.00) will be out in comic book shops on 7th April, 2027, and at booksellers on Tuesday, 4th May, 2027.
