NYCC 2026: Convention Exclusives And Collectible Comics Covers On A Budget
by Brendan M. Allen
It’s hard to believe that New York Comic Con has snuck up already, but it’s taking place at the Jacob Javits Center this weekend, from October 8th-11th. One of the best things about conventions is the swag. Every convention has exclusives, from posters to limited run collectibles. At the big conventions, almost every vendor will have some exclusive item that is presented in extremely limited supply (and often at an inflated price).
My budget for NYCC is bigger some years than others. I absolutely love scoring original cover art and original pages from favorite comics and creators. I have an original Winnebago Graveyard page that I bought one year from Alison Sampson, a Kryptek Superman character study from Freddie Williams III that he used for Injustice/Masters of the Universe, and an interior page from Coyotes that I picked up from Caitlin Yarsky.
When the budget is leaner, I know I can usually score a few exclusive comics covers from publishers, comics retailers, and from the creators themselves in artists alley. The price point is usually $15-30 for the larger run exclusives, with some of the really short-run stuff going for lots more. At that lower to mid exclusivity price range, I can usually grab a few, get some autos, and have a couple mementos of the trip.
Here are a few exclusives that will be available this weekend in Manhattan:
Vampirella #7 – NYCC 2026 Dusan Markovic Virgin Variant

Hell Destroyer Comics Exclusive

Vampirella must reluctantly team with the now-human Belial, who has been stripped of his demon powers, to stop the global threat of ACAMPIS, an undead power monger who has combined the powers of the Vampire Oracle and the demon Belial. His goal? To destroy Dracula and co-opt the vampire lord’s vast global network of followers!
Dynamite always has a massive spread of NYCC convention exclusives. Many of the covers will feature Vampirella and Red Sonja, two of their longest running and most popular characters. Looks like this cover was commissioned by Hell Destroyer Comics, so that’s the booth where you’ll find it (while supplies last).
Midnight Spider-Man #1 – NYCC 2026 Jonathan Uribe Virgin Variant
Print Run of 3,000
Collector Cave / ComicTom101 Exclusives Webstore Exclusive

A young Peter Parker is transformed into a hideous spider hybrid by the ruthless Oscorp Corporation in their pursuit for eternal life. When Oscorp begins to use the secrets unlocked by his mutation to create more human-animal hybrids, Peter embraces his grotesque new form to stop them.
The Midnight Marvel event is massive, and the timing couldn’t be better for spooky season and NYCC.

The Horror of Godzilla #1 – NYCC 2026 Exclusive Shimhaq Cover A Variant

A terrifying look at Godzilla’s first attack!

Tokyo, 1954. As the country begins to look toward its postwar future, two scientists start an experiment in the Pacific Ocean. It is meant to change everything … and it will. Come now, reader, and bear witness to the incredible horror of the King of the Monsters. There are no heroes. There are no survivors. There is only the wrath of Godzilla.
Man, I love Godzilla. This is one of the coolest covers I’ve seen. I would almost fly to New York just to snag one.
Corpse Knight #6 – NYCC 2026 Godtail Virgin Variant
Print Run of 500
Knight of Comics Exclusive

Foy learns about the true power within her and must risk everything in a desperate bid to save her father. But is the cost of making things right too high?
I have no idea what is happening here, but I absolutely love the imagery here. Is that an elf? A gnome? Whatever it is, it’s tiny and cherubic, and apparently controlling a massive monster killer who is covered in blood. This is a dope-ass cover.
Red Sonja: She-Devil with a Sword #6 – NYCC 2026 Michelle Dias A Virgin Variant
Print Run of 200
Knight of Comics Exclusive

A bold new series, continuing the Dynamite Debut of writer Rory McConville (King Spawn) and artist Pablo de Bonis! As things continue to fall out from the battle with Rising Sun, Red Sonja takes a moment and attends a wedding … unfortunately, the Bride is somewhat less than human! Cover artists include: Stuart Sayger, Lucio Parillo, Joseph Michael Linsner, Mike Rooth, and a stunning piece of cosplay by Victoria Recchione!
What did I tell you about Red Sonja? Dynamite knows what they’re doing with all these covers. Red Sonja is one of the most cosplayed comics characters and has been for a very long time. Fun fact: Wendy Pini (yes, that Wendy Pini) used to cosplay as Red Sonja at conventions in the 1970s. She’s the OG.
Something Is Killing the Children #50 – NYCC 2026 Seth Adams Virgin Variant
Print Run of 500
Big Dex Comics Exclusive
