Can Supposedly Useless Powers Work Together For Good? Our First Look At Secret Weapons #2

by Staff

We recently got a chance to do an advance review of Valiant’s new summer series Secret Weapons #1 here on Comicon.com and found it to be a really compelling and relevant comic. Now we’re being given a first look at the interior pages on Secret Weapons #2 arriving in July.
Written by Academy Award-nominee Eric Heisserer, and illustrated by Raul Allen and Patricia Martin, the series features onetime follower of Toyo Harada, Livewire, who now is cleaning up the painful messes he left behind by discarding psiots whose activated powers didn’t seem worthy of his program. But these psiots have a lot to offer, and are certainly resourceful survivors. Livewire has her hands full, though, protecting them from an assassin, Rex-O, whose powers are greater than these kids can hope to beat alone.
Here are our covers for Secret Weapons #2, by Raul Allen, Marguerite Sauvage, and Ben Templesmith:

And here’s our first look at the interior art of Secret Weapons #2 where it looks like Livewire really throws down against Rex-O and our young psiots are figuring out that team work might have an influence on the usefulness of their abilities:
